The only way to become a better reader is to READ!

Listening to others read is also important. This helps early readers know what good reading looks like and sounds like.
Reading is more than knowing what words say. Reading is also knowing what the words mean and understanding what is read. Asking and answering questions is part of reading.



DO MATH!

Math is more than memorizing facts.
Math helps students make sense of their world.
Math helps students develop critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Math is a foundation for math and engineering.

It's not about the correct answer, it's about the process- the "how" and the "why".
